Lexis Brierley is one of a supernatural race that comes form the hell-realms of a distant world. His kind are known as The Wraith. He has the ability to shapeshift, and become pure shadow. In his shadow-form he can form all sorts of nebulous shapes, like a dark ghost. If he passes through another being, he is capable of killing them, depending on their level of power. He could kill mortals, vampires, and lesser demons, etc. He can't (on his own) kill more highly powered supernatural beings like gods, demigods, and so on. For the more powerful types of demon, or being, it takes more wraith, combining their forces.

Lex is not intimidating. He's quite sweet, shy, and doe-feral, rather than tiger-fearsome. He's softly and intelligently-spoken and does not curse very often. He can be prone to outbursts of snark, but is usually willing to be friendly. He often wears a hood and cowl to cover his face, when he's not on his own world. This is a wraith tradition. Lex used to dislike his similarity to Phoenix Kaelen, so hid himself. Out of loyalty and love, his people took to wearing the hood and cowl too. That was centuries ago, but wraith often still wear face and head coverings. As a fairly shy people, it suits them, when they're away from their own realms.

Wraith are creatures of the dark, but are closer to angels than they are to demons or anything malevolent. They prefer night to day, and are nocturnal generally, but it only takes a few days for their eyes to acclimatise to daylight. It's not uncommon to see them wearing dark glasses while they undergo this transition.

Lex is the Omega of hook_line_sinker and the mate of nightmaretiger. His culture is polyamorous, however, so he's open to sex and romance.

Distinguishing marks - Lex has a delicate pattern of gold on the right side of his throat. It's as if the fine capillaries have filled with gold-dust and formed this pattern. It's about an inch and a half in size. Usually, he has a cowl around his neck so it can't always be seen. (He also has a silver sigil on his left hip, which is always hidden by clothing.) When he's in shadow-form, a small puff of gold dust, and another of silver, can be seen in the blackness of his nebulous shape.

As the first of the wraith, Lex is their leader, their prince, although his daughter, Spectra is currently their president. His official title is Ussah nal'orieh Nijei. First among, or prince among, wraith. Ussah means both 'first' and 'prince', and it's appropriate to refer to Lex as Ussah..

Lex is immortal (in the long-lived sense) and immune to fire. He can be killed by a more powerful immortal, and in his youthful timeline, most are much more powerful than he.  In his adult timeline, he has more power, and is difficult to destroy.

He originates from the lower levels of the Keldran hell realms, but doesn't belong in Hell, he never did. He's the first of the Wraith, who were the result of the Danaë Nebula's attempts to create angels. Lex is almost identical to the angel Phoenix Kaelen (ashes_ascended),
because at the time, Phoenix was the only true Keldran angel, and the mother nebula
thought it would be a great idea to duplicate him. Hence Lex - who is the only wraith to look like Phoenix.

Lex differs from Phoenix in that his hair and brows are dark, almost black; he looks much younger. His build is just a little bit slighter; and his body markings (Moles, freckles etc) are
completely different; his skin is also paler. Phoenix's eyes are lighter and more blue-grey, Lex's are a deeper blue. Both males have different vocal inflections, and different modes of speech. They are both 5' 11" and the actual tone of their voices is the same.
